Dear all,
unfortunately there has not been much activity in shaping the program for
Tübingen. The only conveners that edited the program were IT and
Operations.
I tried to schedule the rest of the talks. This was tricky as quite a few
people had special requests that did not permit to have all WGs in one
homogeneous block. At least one request could not be fulfilled.
Could all of you please do the following:
-check whether all the talks in YOUR groups are listed in the program:
https://cchesswiki.in2p3.fr/hess/common_efforts/meetings/2024_april_h_e_s_s…
- check whether the talks within your 'blocks' are in the preferred
sequence (BUT SEE BELOW FOR CONSTRAINTS). Feel free to move them around,
but watch out for the requests regarding scheduling. Please do not alter
the start/end times of YOUR session. In case you need more time for
questions, etc. pls let me know. We can in principle still accommodate
minor additions.
- in order to reduce the efforts in editing, I only entered times and
authors. Once you are happy with your blocks, please enter the titles (or
pass this task on to the authors).
- As we had agreed earlier we want talks to be given by people present in
Tübingen. Unfortunately we have more requests for online talks than last
time. Jacco reminded the collaboration via hess-active, but please follow
the example of Mathieu and Alessandro (see below) who individually
approached speakers asking them to have talks presented by other team or
group members. You may want to remind them that experience clearly shows
that hardly anybody physically present follows the remote presentations.
- In case online talks cannot be avoided, they shall remain at the end of
the sessions or in the case of Christopher Burger-Scheidlin at the
beginning of sessions so that we can skip them in case of technical
problems.
example:
Dear Jann,
It was announced that, except for people from very far (South Africa,
Namibia
notably)
no remote talk could be given at the collaboration
meeting to encourage
in-person
discussion.
Can you indicate me who will be presenting your talk 'Reproducing the HGPS
sensitivity map with gammapy'
during the meeting?
Thanks
Mathieu
Best regards,
Stefan
