Dear Anita,
thanks for voting. It looks like there is a tendency to have our
next AP-call on 9th April (instead Good Friday).
One of us has a problem with the time slot. Therefore I'd like to ask everybody
whether it is possible for you to shift the 9th April meeting by 30min, so starting at
11:30am?
Starting at 11h30 on April 9 works for me.
Spring Collaboration Meeting (CM):
I would further like to remind you about the deadline for talk requests for our upcoming
CM,
https://hess-confluence.desy.de/confluence/display/HESS/Astrophysics+Sessio…
the deadline (8 April) being before the next AP-call.
This means in particular, that by our next AP-call you/it should be clear which topics
(& to which extend) from your WG are going to be presented at the CM.
To facilitate the planning of the CM's AP-program it would be good to get feedback
from you already by the end of this week (2nd April) on:
1) AP-program block within the CM preferably
- rather beginning of CM (sessions somewhere 19.-23.4.)?
- rather end of CM (sessions somewhere 26.-30.4. excluding 27.4.)?
Pls vote.
No strong arguments other than the overlap with the CTA-LST meeting (22-30), which may
make scheduling and attendance easier in the early days.
2) Session times:
10:30-12:00 and 14:00-15:30 ok?
Any needs to change here?
Sounds good to me.
3) Requested hours:
Roughly,
- how many ordinary talk requests (same modus as at the autumn CM)
are you expecting from your WG?
Not sure yet. I have set up a page for the Transients
WG<https://hess-confluence.desy.de/confluence/display/HESS/Transients+WG:+preparation+of+the+collaboration+meeting+April+2021>,
but haven’t gotten much of a response yet. I’ll chase up a few talks that I would like to
get next week.
As a guess: ordinary talks from the WG will probably not exceed 1h.
- How many WT-requests?
(This is only to get an idea whether the time distribution among the
departments need to be changed significantly, or can roughly stay as
were in the past.)
There are two analyses in the WG that should approach finalization of the A&R review
and should thus be ready for a WT around the time of the CM.
* MAXI J1820-070 (jointly with the Stellar Sources WG): joint paper with MAGIC+VERITAS
* Neutrino ToO: two ICRC contributions and joint paper with IceCube+IACTs
If there is not enough time for these talks during the CM we’ll certainly aim to schedule
dedicated session(s) around the same period.
Have a nice Easter week-end!
Fabian
ICRC contributions and WTs/status updates at CM: There will be a separate email / forward
from Stefan on this subject (separate email).
All the best,
and stay healthy!
Anita
