[Hess-ap] Fwd: HESS collaboration meeting in Obergurgl cancelled

Hi Anita, all, what I wrote was the scheme we in the WG were proposing for the meeting next week - special session. We were planning 2 (or 3) online sessions, probably in different times. Regarding the new organisation, I second Garret’s opinion. What do you have in mind? to do everything online as planned? session 1 will be a long monologue, session 2 will be a mixed between review talks and dedicated projects (repeating somehow the format of the regular calls but with larger (???) audience). It is difficult to keep people online interested for more than one hour when they are sitting in front of their computer - maybe if people from the same institute gathers in one room, we can have a one day or half a day AD session. For that, you (as the management) should organise this with the group leaders, and we need a clear agenda that suits this format and is communicated to the groups in time. I am not sure we have time to organise that before Monday (?)

Vibe meetings can not substitute the important discussions that are typically triggered in F2F-meetings. Still, to demonstrate an active astrophysics program within HESS, motivation for most to dedicate a lot of time and engagement to the HESS experiment, is important.
