the next OC meeting will be held on*November 6* from 14:00 to 18:00
(CET) and *November 8* from 9:00 to 13:00 (CET).
These are the only slots when all OC members could in the end be present
together with Andreas from SciOps. We will have to be efficient.
At the physics conveners : you are invited to participate in a one hour
discussion at the beginning of the OC meeting (Monday 6) to briefly
discuss the general priorities and science goals of your working group
during the remaining time of HESS operations. Please let us know quickly
if you will be present. Part was presented during the last collaboration
meeting in Bordeaux but you may want to emphasise some topics.

Dear all,
I forgot to mention at the last meeting that there is a request to add
an external member to the LS5039 task group: Hiroki Yoneda, postdoc at
the University of Würzburg, Germany.
This should be approved by the Astrophysics Department if I understand
the procedures correctly. Jacco or Stefan, does one of you approve this?
A mail was circulated to the Stellar WG proposing this, I supported it,
and nobody replied or contacted me with any concerns. Here is the mail:

I know Hiroki since he was PhD student in University of Tokyo, and since then he was very actively working on multiwavelength study of LS5039. I'm sure that his contribution will help to advance this quite a delayed project. In addition to Hiroki's exceptional expertise in MWL study of this source, I would like to mention that Hiroki was leading a paper in which one reported on possible X-ray pulsation from the system for the first time. Although this result was criticized for its low significance, there is an important part of knowledge that Hiroki gained from this work -- he had studied in detail all the available orbital solutions for this binary system. I expect that his understanding of this aspect will help to resolve the apparent disagreement between the SUPC spectrum obtained with the new analysis and the one published in HESS 2006 paper.

We will have another request soon because Guillem wants to add two
external collaborators on the J1832 binary project (who were also
co-authors on the previous HESS publication on this source).

Dear All,
Normally we have our monthly on the 2nd Friday of the month, but I am at a workshop.
For that reason I would like to shift to this Friday. The advantage is that also some details from the Bordeaux meeting are still fresh in our minds.
One thing to discuss is how to setup the framework for the 2HGPS catalogue.
Please let me know if you can make it. If too many cannot we need to shift to October 20.

Dear all,
I apologize if you received this message more than once, there was some
confusion in the mailing lists.
Proposals are due by *October 16, 2023*. For a start in December and
allow enough time to SciOps to prepare the long term schedule we need to
meet the week*November 6 to 10*, or beginning of the following week at
the latest.
Although November may seem a long way off, agendas are filling up fast
and we need to find 1 1/2 days for ranking and a time for working groups
to present their expectations. So please, do fill the doodle

For those who have already done so, check that you also filled for the 2

I was a bit confused about the mailing lists on Tuesday during the
in-person oc meeting. The policy had actually changed a few times during
the past 5 years.
the hess-oc(a)mpi-hd.mpg.de mailing lists reaches:
hess-sciops (ex-officio members of the oc)
hess-ec (ex-officio members of the oc)
all voting members of the oc
-none else
the Hess-ap(a)lsw.uni-heidelberg.de list reaches:
the conveners of the 7 AP working groups
the head of the mwlboard (currently Alicja, also a voting oc member)
the AP dept. chair
the director
-none else
I believe this reflects the actual needs, but requires to submit mail to
both lists for all infomation that is supposed to reach the *full* oc
(which includes ex-officio members, voting members, and advisory members
(wg conveners).
In case anyone feels a different setup would be preferred, pls discuss
either on one of the lists or in a forthcoming ap or oc mtg.

1 - if you as working group convener you have some constraint, e.g. if you cannot attend the meeting some days or half days (I already noted Matteo for the AGN session and Mathieu for the IT session)
2 - an estimation of the time needed for your session.

Dear WG conveners, Armelle,
Unlike discussed during the AP meeting last Friday, the plan for filling up the agenda is that Armelle will take the table of talks and fills this into the agenda.
However, it is up to the conveners to check the agenda/table and see if they are satisfied with the time slots/durations of the talks!
Also note that each WG session will start with an introduction by the WG convener with a summary of the WG central science themes, a some summary of activity and a vision for the future/extension phase(s).
Warn me and Armelle if you are not present, then we can discuss how to solve this (another group member could present, or me, etc).
