Dear All,
Most of you seem to be out of office. So no AP meeting tomorrow.
The next meeting is scheduled for September 8, 10:00
Of course you can always contact me or Stefan for questions.
Best regards,
Jacco
Dear all,
during the first days of this week when both Jacco and me where out of
internet contact, there have been a few mails regarding ICRC proceedings
which stalled on the Hess-ap(a)lsw.uni-heidelberg.de mailing list.
Apologies for the delayed flood of mails.
Best regards,
Stefan
Dear all,
The deadline for submitting the ICRC2023 proceedings is extremely close now (tomorrow, Tuesday, July 18). For the submission we need to add the full H.E.S.S. collaboration authorlist to each proceedings. Can you please tell me where to find the relevant LaTeX file?
Thanks a lot!
Fabian
P.S.: The collaboration authorlist also needs to be submitted in an XML form to be used in the DOI of the publications.

Dear WG leaders,
I will be on vacation starting this Thursday, for three weeks. There will, therefore, not be an AP meeting this Friday. I will be back by the 2nd Friday of August (August 11).
If you have any urgent matters, please raise them before Thursday.
There was one lingering question raised recently: the authorship of ICRC contributions. It is not clear whether the ICRC wil change its policy, but in all likelihood authorship
will be handled the same way as last ICRC, following the format
Author1, Author2, …, on behalf of the H.E.S.S. collaboration.
At the end of the proceedings paper there will be a list of all H.E.S.S. members. So there is no opt-in procedure from out side!
Best regards,
Jacco
Hi all,
I am quite a bit puzzled by the latest SOM (https://www.mpi-hd.mpg.de/HESS/pages/home/som/2023/07/). My main question is simple: who wrote it?
In the past, the corresponding authors and the relevant WG and task leaders were leading these summary/outreach articles of “their” papers. Or they were at least kept informed about such efforts. None of this has happened in this case and I strongly believe that this rather surprising precedent should not become the norm in our collaboration.
Best regards,
Fabian

Dear WG conveners,
The coming HESS autumn meeting is relatively soon after the summer break. So it is important to already probe your WGs to see who would like to present projects.
So please mention the meeting at your last WG meeting before the summer break, or otherwise send an email. I made a table similar to the last time where people can list there intended presentations.
See: https://hess-confluence.desy.de/confluence/display/HESS/Astrophysics+talk+r…
Best regards,
Jacco
Dear All,
At the last meeting I mentioned that I may not be able to host an AP meeting on June 9, due to a wedding.
However, there is no worry: I am available in the morning for our regularly schedule call (June 9, 10:00 CET).
So no changes needed.
Best,
Jacco

Dear working group conveners,
We are starting to plan a few dedicated sessions for walk through talks the first week of june, especially for the results that will be shown at the ICRC. We prepared a poll to gather your availabilities and then propose a few slots to the analysers. Can you please fill it, if possible as soon as you read this e-mail, so that it is not lost during this long weekend :
